Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She was raised listening to traditional and old boleros, as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well opera and dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother and commenced more serious vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well being a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. When she moved from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. As an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of music and art keeps her involved in a range of different projects. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
